I am Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Linguistics at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Gandía campus). I am a member of the research groups UAM-CLIL and GALE, and serve on the editorial board of Revista de Lingüística y Lenguas Aplicadas (RLyLA) and the journal of Language and Education.

my research interests include teaching and learning in english-medium instruction contexts and the management of academic and disciplinary literacies in different areas of study, for which i collaborate with colleagues who teach different subjects in secondary stage and post-secondary education. theroetical frameworks and lenses i use in my research are multiple (e.g., legitimation code theory, systemic functional linguistics), and coi more recently.
