COUNTRYSint Maarten

I have a strong background in medical education and a passion for student success, I currently serve as the Manager of Academic Support and a Senior Lecturer at AUC. I have my doctoral degree (Ed.D.) from Walden University and hold dual master’s degrees: an M.Ed. specializing in educational psychology and leadership, an M.A. in English, and dual bachelor’s degrees in education and commerce.

Since January 2019, I have been teaching and co-directing the Learning Enhancement Course (LEC) at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. I facilitate the learning skills sessions to help students enhance their study strategies and achieve academic goals. Additionally, I design the syllabus, create modules, and structure the grading for the course.

I also coordinate and conduct Academic Enhancement workshops every term for incoming first-semester students, covering topics such as time management and help-seeking strategies, along with other academic support areas. I lead AUC’s tutoring program, collaborating with students and faculty across various courses.

I bring over 16 years of teaching experience, ranging from higher secondary to medical students.
